Shift Out of LuckPLOT: Cole has wanted Adelaide for three years, but he resists because she’s human and therefore off limits. He’s worried that he will hurt her.
PROS: I liked Adelaide and Cole. The beginning of the story is well laid out. I liked chemistry between the two.
CONS: There are inconsistencies as the story goes on. When Cole finds Adelaide, her tent is already up and she’s at camp. She says she gathered firewood while Pat put up the tent. Yet right before that she and Pat were lost. When did he put up the tent? After Cole kisses Adelaide, days pass, and she becomes angry when she hears nothing from him. But when camping, she thinks it was earlier that same day.
3.5 – 4 STARS: It could have been a better story if it were longer. I felt like the author had a word limit and the story was rushed.
Shift Just Got Real
PLOT: Mal tries to forget Ryann because he’s ugly and he thinks that she’s beautiful and too young for him.
PROS: I like an atypical hero who isn’t pretty. Even though there is an age difference, I appreciated that she was at least twenty. Also, her family and his friends reacted in a realistic manner to that age difference. I liked the way it started with him standing outside her window. He was so devoted to her and her happiness.
CONS: There were a few incidences of her calling him “Daddy.” That may not be a con to everyone, but it’s not my thing and it takes me out of the moment.
3.5 – 4 STARS: The story moves quickly, but I felt like they were connected and in love.
Get Your Shift Together
PLOT: Leo meets Caroline when she still has a boyfriend.
PROS: I liked Leo and Caroline. It’s a quick, funny, and sweet.
CONS: When the story ends, Leo still hasn’t told Caroline the full meaning of being his mate. Because of their fast commitment, I felt like the mate bond could have been better explained. How does a shifter recognize his mate? How is the bond formed?
4 STARS: It’s a quick, funny romantic read. Though this story appears third in the book, the events occur after those in the first story. Mal from the second story makes a brief appearance and he’s single.
Does A Bear Shift in the Woods
PLOT: Chance and Maddie meet in a bar. Neither is looking for a mate, but Chance doesn’t want to ignore their attraction. After one night, he knows that he never wants it to end.
PROS: It’s funny. Chance and Maddie are likable.
CONS: I can only speak for myself on this one, but I’m just not interested in elements of domination and submission. It’s not that I hated it here. I’m just tired of it.
3.5 – 4 STARS: Grumpy Chance reminded me a bit of Mal.
You Gotta Be Shifting Me
PLOT: Alexa hates Griffin since he ate all six of her jars of honey jam that she’d made for a contest. That doesn’t stop her from fantasizing about him. It’s been three years and Griffin decides to apologize again since she’s his mate.
PROS: It’s funny. I really liked Griffin. He was so sweet.
CONS: Though I understood her reasoning, I didn’t like Alexa at first. She doesn’t want to get hurt, but she treated Griffin horribly.
3.5 – 4 STARS: Griff’s sweetness makes this story for me.
Overall Rating: 4 STARS: This is a pretty good series. I often grow bored with a series and quit before the end. This one kept me interested.

I loved the were bears of Pine Falls Minnesota! This is a great collection of short stories with a little something for just about everyone. I hope that sometime soon there will be a revisit, there are other shifter in the town.

Tired of trying to resist him, she decides to use him for sex while getting her library built, and walk away on her terms. Griff is on to her game and let's her play, hoping she will fall in love with him. A fun fast paced and steamy short story.
My favorite in this set was defiantly "Shift Just Got Real"
I loved Mal and Ryann! They where my favorite couple in this set and I plan on buying their novella separately.
Ryann teased Mal and called him daddy a couple times in their story because he was hung up about their age differences (She's 20 almost 21 and he's 39) and even though I'm not one for woman calling men daddy during sexy times I found it really hot!
The only thing I didn't like was even though their story wrapped up nicely it was to short for me and I wanted more Mal and Ryann!
My second favorite was "Does A Bear Shift In The Woods"
Chance the crazy hot alpha bear and his little wolf Maddie were sexy together! I loved Chance! He was so rugged and I loved how alpha he was. Their story was hot and they where hot together! I also plan on buying their novella separately as well.
"Shift Out Of Luck" and "Get Your Shift Together" were okay reads. I didn't really care for them. I had fun reading them but would I read them again? No.
"You Gotta Be Shifting Me" the last book in the set was a hilarious and very fun read! Griff was super funny and sexy. I loved him and his little librarian!
I like Ruby Dixon and I had a good time reading this set!
