Touched all my senses/emotions and the rich detail in the descriptions put me right in the moments. The telling is well handled as the author moves back and forth from recollections of a teen -- mature beyond her age -- moving through to her more recent adult life Jewels of wisdom are woven into the storytelling. A hugely engrossing and worthwhile read!
